About Project:

How do you celebrate the iconic collaboration between Absolut Vodka and Andy Warhol? Your Majesty created a participatory digital platform that invited all artists—professional and amateur—to design and exchange their artworks.

The platform we built encouraged people to create and submit brand-new artworks right on the site. Using either a mouse or finger, along with the innovative tools we created, participants could to paint with digital brushes and explore the beauty of symmetry with a generative pattern-maker. We even designed a webcam tool that transformed body movements into art.

Artists could submit their creations via phone, laptop or social media. Upon receipt, the platform rendered and saved each piece in 300 DPi, so it could go out as an A3 print on-demand.

Meanwhile, an online gallery displayed all submissions. At the end of each month, from October through December, each participant received an artwork from another randomly selected artist. To top it off, one lucky winner even got an original work by Andy Warhol, himself.

The Art Exchange certainly grabbed global attention, earning a media reach of millions. Social influencers and celebrated artists joined in, including Ryder Ripps, David OReilly and Taylor McKimens, just to name a few.

In total, participants from 97 countries created and submitted more than 11,000 pieces of art.
